At The Hove Practice, we offer a number of health promotion programmes and medical check ups, adapted to you.
These can include annual medicals, an ECG, Spirometry (lung function testing), Blood Test or vaccination depending on your requirements.
Prescriptions
£30
We can provide private prescriptions for your regular medication once registered with the Hove Practice. These require 48 hours notice and will be available for collection from the Practice, or can be sent to the Pharmacy of your choice in Brighton, Hove, London or anywhere within the UK.
Vaccinations
£99 + vaccine cost

Blood Tests and Pathology
Price available on request
We offer a wide variety of blood tests, urine tests, swabs and additional pathology services, targeted to your medical condition or health profile. We use the largest independent laboratory in the country for absolute certainty in your results. These will be interpreted and explained to you via a written report, usually within 48 to 72 hours, depending on our London laboratory's turn-around time.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
£65
Using our state of the art ECG machine, we offer in-house assessment of your heart's rhythm and electrical activity. The procedure is painless and can be done during your consultation if necessary. You need do nothing to prepare for it. The results are available at the time of the test, and any concerns will be raised with a Consultant Cardiologist. We can provide you with a digital or paper copy of your result for your personal records. (Please note the ECG service is charged in addition to the consultation.)
Spirometry
£65
Using state-of-the-art spirometry equipment, we offer in-house assessment of your lung function. The procedure is simple, non-invasive, and can be done during your consultation if needed. Results are immediate, and any concerns will be discussed with a specialist. A digital or paper copy of your results is available for your records. (Please note the spirometry service is charged in addition to the consultation.)
Imaging
Price available on request
At The Hove Practice we offer access to a wide range of imaging, tailored to your medical need. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Plain X-rays
- Ultrasound scans
- Foetal scans
- Echocardiograms (to visually assess the heart)
- CT scans
- MRI scans
These can be arranged locally in Brighton and Hove or in London, in a timely fashion, with your results explained to you promptly depending on expert reporting time.
