Trucheck™ Intelli represents a ground-breaking advance in the early detection of cancer. Utilizing a blood-based approach, this innovative test has the ability to identify over 70 types of solid tumours, from a single 25ml blood sample for analysis.
The Intelli test simplifies cancer screening by providing clear results: positive, negative, or indeterminate.
A positive result signifies the detection of circulating tumour cells (CTCs), indicative of potential malignancy with a remarkable 99.9% sensitivity. The test often determines the tissue or organ of origin in these cases.
Conversely, a negative result indicates an absence of CTCs in the blood sample, demonstrating an 88.2% sensitivity rate. This indicates a lower risk of the presence of cancer.
An indeterminate result means CTCs were detected in the given blood sample, but the type of cancer or tissue / organ of origin could not be determined. In these cases, our partner will offer another test free of charge.
CTCs, the pivotal markers in this test, are absent in healthy individuals or those with benign conditions. Their presence is a key indicator in cancer detection, offering a high degree of accuracy in differentiating between cancer patients and healthy subjects.
Following your test, our partner company's clinical director will engage with you in a detailed consultation, guiding you through the results and discussing the next steps. This personalised approach ensures that you receive comprehensive care and understanding of your health status.
With Trucheck™ Intelli, we're committed to providing our patients with the most advanced and reliable tools for cancer detection, empowering them with knowledge and confidence in their health journey.

1. What does Trucheck™ actually detect? Trucheck™ detects the presence of CTCs (circulating tumour cells) in your body.
2. Can Trucheck™ replace regular cancer screenings like mammograms? No, Trucheck™ should be used alongside, not in place of, standard cancer screenings recommended by your doctor.
3. What is the Cancer Detection Rate: Trucheck™ Intelli has 88.2% sensitivity in the detection of cancer across all stages and types and a further 93.1% accuracy in determining the tissue or organ of origin in positive cases.
4. What is the False Positive Rate: There is approximately 1% chance of Trucheck™ yielding a false positive result when cancer is not present.
5. If my Trucheck™ result is negative, does it mean I don’t have cancer? A negative result means that CTCs were not detected in the given sample. Please be mindful this does not completely rule out the possibility of cancer as some cancers may not shed detectable tumour cells in the blood.
6. Does a negative result guarantee I will never have cancer? A negative result only indicates that at the time of the test, no CTCs were found in the given blood sample. It doesn't predict future cancer risk and cannot identify cancer in all cases.
7. How often should I take the Trucheck™ test? Trucheck™ can be done annually and easily be incorporated into our Executive annual medical consultations.
8. Should I use Trucheck™ if I think I might have cancer or am showing symptoms? No, if you have symptoms or suspect you might have cancer, it's crucial to consult a medical professional immediately.
9. Can I use Trucheck™ to check for cancer recurrence after treatment? Trucheck™ is not designed for monitoring cancer recurrence and cannot be used for patients that have previously been diagnosed with cancer. In these cases, there are other tests available such as Cancer Track. More information on this upon request.
10. Does Trucheck™ check for blood cancers (haematological)? No, Trucheck™ is not able to detect these cancer types. See your GP for alternative tests to investigate this.

General Cancer Information:
Many cancers often show no symptoms until advanced stages.
Early detection through screening, like Trucheck™ Intelli, can significantly increase the chances of treatment success.
Waiting for your Trucheck™ results can be a stressful time for you and your family.
Sometimes, the results might be unclear, labelled as 'Indeterminate,' which means CTCs were detected in the given blood sample, however the type of malignancy or organ of origin could not be determined.
Although it's rare, getting a result that mistakenly says there's no cancer when there is (a false negative) or one that incorrectly indicates cancer when there isn’t (a false positive) can also be upsetting.
These situations can lead to worry and may affect your feelings and behaviour.
It is important to consider these carefully before undergoing the test.
